" Believed First edition. Octavo, 68pp, 10 leaves of illustrations, others within text. Illustrations are wood-engravings reproduced as line photo-engravings, including frontispiece. Case binding of blue diagonal rib grain cloth over boards. Upper cover with title (illustration of flower 'and the rabbits') and decorated borders in gilt. Lower cover blocked in blind. Brown floral patterned endpapers. Gilt edges. Boards are generally good with slight damage to head and tail of spine. Binding somewhat loose and some early plates and pages have become detached although all present. Remains a pleasing copy of a charming and exceedingly scarce work. (Book ref. 193) £72.00
