Welcome to our website

Francis Edwards, Antiquarian Bookseller, was established in 1855 in the West End of London.

Now situated on the top floor of the world famous Hay Cinema Bookshop in Hay-on-Wye, "The Town of Books", the Francis Edwards division occupies four show rooms and has in stock over 5,000 volumes. In addition we have a branch just off Charing Cross Road in the West End with a stock of over 2,000 books.

Particular emphasis is on Travel, Natural History, Art & Architecture, History, Naval & Military, Literature and the Social Sciences. We issue catalogues and short lists in all subjects, please enquire for details.

We are always willing to purchase single books of importance, collections and entire libraries.

Terms and conditions

All books are octavo and in original cloth binding, unless otherwise stated. Minor inscriptions have been ignored.

UK: 4.50 for the first book, and 1.00 for each subsequent book ordered.
Europe and North America: 5.00 for the first book ordered and 2.00 for any subsequent book ordered.
Central and South America: 7.50 per book.
Rest of World: 6.50 per book. Also available for items weighing over 5 kilos - standard MBag (surface) at 3.00 per kilo

Payment

We accept payment by Sterling Cheque, Access, MasterCard, Barclaycard, Visa, American Express and Diners Club International.

To use these facilities please quote card number and expiry date together with your name and address. Customers in countries operating an International Giro System can pay into our account number 441 7518
