Should I upgrade? If there are scores of examples of any of your individual titles already offered for sale on the internet by other booksellers then the chances of your copy appearing at the top of search-engine listings as a result of an author and title search is small, whatever we do about it. The main purpose of the UKBookGallery upgrade is to get as many as possible of your less commonly found and more valuable items - by default, those priced at £20 and over - near the top of search results. So, as a rule of thumb, if you have a worthwhile number of your titles priced at over £20 or so then it's worth considering an upgrade - one single sale in the year gained through the added exposure will pay for the upgrade charge.  However if your books are generally low value titles then it's probably not worth upgrading. Whilst we do the indexing work immediately on receiving your upgrade request, it's out of our hands as to when the various search engines crawl your website again to pick up new information and incorporate the data into their search indexes.  Because of this we can make no guarantees as to how long any particular batch of newly-indexed books might take to appear, either in part or completely. However, we generally reckon that new information starts appearing in the major search engine search results some 7-14 days after being set up.
